Named for the first American in space, Shepard opened in 1961. Shepard has continued to renovate facilities to meet the needs of generations of students. In the past 5 years, science labs, the music/arts wing, and school locker rooms have been completely renovated. Currently, a renovation of the school library is in the planning phase.
